In 2023, we were awarded the coveted Spirit of Hospitality Award at the annual New Zealand Holiday Parks Conference. This award is presented to the park that receives the highest feedback and best reviews across various online platforms over 12 months. Out of more than 200 other campgrounds from around New Zealand, we emerged as the winner of this prestigious industry award, which makes us incredibly proud!
In 2024, Camp Waipu Cove was once again named as one of just 7 finalists for the Spirit Of Hospitality award. While we didn’t quite take the win this time around, being a finalist out of so many holiday parks for the second time in a row is still a fantastic achievement. Big thanks to all of you who have left us an online review, it really does make a difference, and helps more people experience Camp Waipu Cove!

In 2023, our Qualmark evaluation marked an exciting milestone for Camp Waipu Cove. In addition to maintaining a 4 Star Plus Holiday Park and 4 Star Plus Motel rating, we also achieved a GOLD Sustainable Tourism Business Award.
This award reflects our achievements in environmental sustainability, Kaitiakitanga, and Manaakitanga. We are incredibly proud of this status and remain dedicated to upholding the responsibility it comes with in all aspects of our business.

The annual business awards for our local Northland community (known as the Junction Awards) includes businesses from Puhoi all the way up to Waipu. The awards aim to recognise and celebrate local businesses that help our community to thrive.
In 2024, we were in the running for the Entertainment & Tourism (North) category. The public voted, the votes were counted, and we had won! It was a real honour to get the number of votes we did, and a good indicator that we are moving in the right direction.
