Bottle Nose and Common Dolphins live in Bream Bay all year round; with Orca, Pilot and large Baleen Whales also regular visitors to the bay and surrounding islands.
Keep an eye out for dolphins and whales while you are on the beach; or head to the South end of the Cove and meander along the Waipu Coastal trail for a great vantage point to spot them further out.
